United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties (UWMOC) hosted its 2019 Spring Tee-Off presented by Hackensack Meridian Health on May 20, 2019 at Hollywood Golf Club in Deal, NJ. The sold-out event with 121 golfers in attendance was the organization’s most successful golf outing to date, raising over $125,000 to advance UWMOC’s mission to improve the lives of youth and their families in our community.
Thanks to the attendees and top sponsors of the event for their generous support: Hackensack Meridian Health, UPS, New Jersey Natural Gas, Deloitte, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation, Monmouth Medical Center, NJ American Water, OceanFirst Bank and Tait Weller. All new or increased sponsorships for the event have been generously matched by the Grunin Foundation Challenge to help UWMOC raise an additional $1 million by 2021.
“We could not have exceeded our goals without the hard work and dedication of the Spring Tee-Off Committee and UWMOC staff,” stated Brian Massey, Co-Chair of the Spring Tee-Off Committee.
“I am thrilled to have been a part of this record-breaking event to benefit an organization that does such important work for the people of Monmouth and Ocean counties,” Luke Bollerman of Bollerman Development, Co-Chair of the Spring Tee-Off Committee.
Proceeds from the 2019 Spring Tee-Off, one of the organization’s largest fundraisers, will benefit United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties’ work in the areas of school readiness, early grade reading, youth career pathways and financial stability. UWMOC helps ensure that students are academically, developmentally and social-economically prepared for Kindergarten; supports students year-round to be reading and succeeding by the end of third grade; prepares students for career or college after high school; and assists households in increasing their income and financial capability to build a pathway to financial stability.
